Socialist MP, Pandeli Majko , has commented on the opposition's proposal for changes to the Electoral Code, saying that their request at this stage of the electoral process would change the rules of the game.
Majko : I will make a brief comment regarding the proposals. All voters, Albanians abroad, will vote without paying anything to express their will. This is a great success, but what I see as a problem is the latest request from the opposition that fundamentally changes the rules of the game, at this moment this electoral process is.
In the discussion that took place on the changes to the Electoral Code, the opposition presented a proposal of interest. Both sides have agreed that the opposition's proposals for voting with foreign passports be evaluated by the CEC regulatory commission, this is also related to the latest amendment proposed by the opposition, in point 4 of article 24, where the regulatory commission will decide in an unprecedented manner whether or not Albanian citizens abroad will vote, with a vote of 4 votes, a qualified vote, to me personally this smells like I don't want to put an appointment.
If we leave it to the regulatory commission, for a fact that changes the rules of the game, it will be a reason for external voting to be blocked.
