Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha will appear on Monday at SPAK to enforce the "compulsory appearance" security measure issued against him by the Appeals Court of Kosovo.
DP Chairman Sali Berisha will have to appear at SPAK twice a month, on the first and third Monday of each month.
Meanwhile, the DP, through a message distributed on the party forums, has called for mobilization for Berisha.
"Dear friends. Tomorrow, Monday at 9:30 AM, the President of the Democratic Party, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, will be at the doors of SKAP. Please mobilize the branch structures so that everyone is there. At 9:30 AM in front of the SKAP headquarters. Thank you," the Democratic Party's message to the forums reads.
The irony lies in the fact that Sali Berisha had harshly criticized the rally in support of Erion Veliaj near the SPAK building at the moment the court decision was being issued for the mayor.
Three days ago, in a conversation with journalists, Berisha called on Prime Minister Edi Rama not to dare to protest in front of SPAK anymore, as otherwise he will respond with final protests against him.
"I give an ultimatum to Edi Rama, don't you dare organize another protest because the opposition will respond with a counter-protest that you can't imagine. Don't you dare, remember this. If you call for a protest, the final protest will be called for you. We are heading towards elections, have the courage to face the vote of the Albanians, but the attack you made surpassed El Chapo, Toto Rina and every criminal in power and out of power that has existed until today."
Berisha described the organization of the protest in front of justice institutions as shameful and said that with this act, Rama proved to Albanians that he wants justice to be submissive at his feet.
He called the gathering in support of Veliaj a " criminal attack by the narco-state on justice institutions."
