One day before the elections for the chairman of the Democratic Party, Evi Kokalari has filed a complaint with the Special Prosecution Office against Sali Berisha, the children of the leading democrat, Shkëlzeni and Argita Malltezi, MP Albana Vokshi and others.

The Albanian-American activist herself announced the news through social networks, where she says that she has sued the Berisha family and the leader's loyalists for taking the Democratic Party hostage.

Kokalari, who was prevented from running for president of the Democratic Party, says that in her report she "explained in detail how the Democratic Party was taken hostage by the Assembly of April 30, 2022 and how it was used for the personal interests" of the Berisha family.

The activist also reports that she has filed a detailed complaint with the office of Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other senior American officials.

This morning I filed a criminal complaint with SPAK for the taking of the Democratic Party hostage by the Berisha family and his circle, for obvious reasons of corruption and to be used as a shield against SPAK itself.

The complaint is against:

Sali Berisha

Shkelzen Berisha

Argita Malltezit

Albana Vokshi

and some others.

I have explained in detail how the Democratic Party was taken hostage by the Assembly of April 30, 2022 and how it was used for their personal interests.

I am at the full disposal of SPAK on this matter, as well as on any other matter where the prosecutors deem it reasonable that I may be needed.

As such, to date I have taken these steps:

1 - Criminal report to SPAK

2 - Civil lawsuit with request for security measure, already accepted by the Court (suspension of the Assembly of May 23 is requested)

3 - Detailed denunciation to the office of Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other senior American officials

4 - Email-update for senior EPP officials

As for Albania, with the help of SPAK and the Court, as well as with the external support of the State Department and the EPP, we will isolate this cancer that has invaded the opposition and, consequently, all of Albanian politics.

Tomorrow, May 23, the elections for the chairman of the Democratic Party will be held, where the only candidate is Sali Berisha. He did not allow the candidacy of 5 other Democrats, that of Evi Kokalari, Ervin Salianji, Alesia Balliu, Mereme Sela and Vladimir Mulaj.
