Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha does not back down from his accusations that the lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi was attacked for political reasons, even though the Tirana Police proved otherwise.

Berisha, during tonight's protest, accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of being the instigator of the attack on Sokol Mêngjesi, for the reason that he is his lawyer.

"I tell you one thing, which is a genuine political blow. Because if Sokol Mêngjesi had been the lawyer of Edi Rama or Belinda Balluku, no one would have touched him", declared Berisha.

In fact, the police clarified the incident and declared the perpetrators wanted. Dritan Nano, 58 years old, has been identified as the author of the attack, this is because he was the only one of the 8 heirs of a property that the lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi had enabled them to take back, who refused to pay him for the services according to the contract they had signed .
