The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was punched today by 31-year-old Gert Shehu. 

The incident happened at the start of the protest called by the opposition, while Berisha, alongside Ilir Meta, was marching with the crowd of citizens.

As can be seen from the photo, Berisha has cracks in his right cheekbone and nose as well as a hematoma in the lower part of his eye.
