Erion Braçe complains about egg attacks on MPs: A while ago, they would

MP Erion Braçe has reacted to the incident of protesters throwing eggs at MPs before the start of today's plenary session. In a video message on social media, Braçe calls the physical attack on MPs unacceptable and outside any fundamental rights.

According to him, no one has the right to physically attack another, emphasizing that such actions cannot be justified in the name of human freedoms and rights.

He also criticized the chairwoman of the Assembly's Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms for what he sees as justification for legitimizing such acts, underlining that in a democratic state, the reaction to anyone who makes a mistake is through voting and justice, not through violence.

According to Braça, physical attacks are characteristic of systems where violent extremism replaces democratic institutions, while Albania has chosen the European path, where violence is considered a crime and not a political tool.

Brace's full statement

TO ATTACK ANOTHER PHYSICALLY-VIOLENTLY,

IT DOES NOT INFRINGE YOUR FREEDOMS AND FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS! NOOOO!

We have been in a spiral of violence for days, where a handful of people think that physically and violently attacking another is within their rights; THEY SHOULD NOT BE FORBIDDEN FROM DOING IT, BECAUSE YOUR FREEDOM IS RESTRICTED!

Today I heard the chairwoman of the Assembly's Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms justify for the umpteenth time - the first time I read her doing so in a group - physical assault as part of the freedoms and rights of the one who undertakes it and the legal reaction to it as injustice.

NOOOO, IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!

Anyone, ordinary or under constitutional mandate, does good or bad, makes mistakes, breaks the law, or commits a crime.

To react to it, this democratic system we have has legitimized VOTING politically and JUSTICE legally.

This is the world we live in, in Europe.

The physical and violent attack of someone throwing stones at another or others is an instrument of another world, where violent extremism is a political system, political power and political authority.

In this country there have been great fluctuations, from time to time, about which world we should choose; not long ago, the other one, the others were violently attacked right on the boulevard and KILLED; even that was justified as the state's right to take life!

We have avoided that choice and we have done well!

Therefore, it is very important that violence, physical assault, be considered for what it is: a CRIME, not a fundamental right of one person against another!
