The DP and the SP were at odds over the Territorial Reform. The Democrats accused the Socialists of being the only ones implementing the reform, who did not wait for the commission's work to be completed.
"Rama withdraws from territorial reform, continuing with the project for the further depopulation of Albania," said Berisha.
DP MPs accused that the decision to merge nearly 20 municipalities has already been made.
"Is Mirdita melting? Don't make an attempt on Albania," said Agron Gjemarkaj.
"Kruma (Hasi) was said here. Mirdita doesn't even melt," Taulant Balla replied.
"Shame on you if you vote to merge Delvina and Konispol," said Ina Zhupa.
"It seems inappropriate to me that we are hearing fabrications without a territorial map," continued Ardit Bido.
Democratic co-chair Luciano Boçi requested that the SP withdraw from the draft and extend the deadline for the Territorial Reform Commission, but the SP is determined to present a report on the work so far on July 23, the day that coincides with the last session of this session.
On behalf of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla clarified that this is not about the final draft.
"On the 23rd there will be no vote, but a report based on which there will be a process that includes the communities," said Balla.
At the last meeting of the Special Commission, the Socialist Party announced that it will move towards the formula for fewer municipalities and dividing the country into regions for the new territorial map.
