The political leaders of the SP, in 12 regions of the country, reported on Friday to Prime Minister Edi Rama, for about five hours.

The agenda included discussions on the current situation and objectives for each district and the upcoming local elections.

Part of the situation for each district has been the comparisons or surveys that the SP is conducting based on the candidates of the primaries officially declared by Sali Berisha as well as the four names that have so far emerged from the "Alibeaj" grouping.

Sources from the meeting have announced that all the mayors who won on March 6 (Vora, Rrogozhina, Lushnja, Dibra and Durres) will be reconfirmed as SP candidates for the May 14 elections.

In the district of Lezha, the re-candidacy of the mayor of Kurbini and Mirdita is uncertain due to the poor results in the polls. For the Municipality of Vlora, Rama has excluded socialist deputies from running.

Meanwhile, the sources inform that the projection of the socialists, according to their polls, makes them winners in about 45 municipalities. Also, in the report of the political leaders, Rama also requested a detailed explanation on the "census" of socialist voters for each municipality, where their potential voters are located, inside or outside the country.

At the end of the long discussion, where each head of SP at the district level had 10 minutes to report, no conclusions were reached.

The meeting will continue with other meetings, but the main goal was the grassroots work, focusing on the candidates for the Municipal Councils where the SP seems to be lagging apart from names for mayors.
