Will run for Tirana, Florjan Binaj leaves "Piranjat": But I will not abandon the mission for change

As has now become official, Florjan Binaj will be the opposition candidate for the Municipality of Tirana.

And while starting his political career, he had to close his journalism career, more specifically, Binaj closed the chapter on the investigative show "Piranja".

Binaj has been moderating the investigative show for about three years.

Meanwhile, Florjan Binaj, even though he is ending his journey from this program, has promised that he will not abandon the mission he has begun.

Florjan Binaj's reaction:

Today is my most difficult moment on this stage. Because today, I have to say goodbye to Piranhas. I am saying goodbye with nostalgia to a job and a program that I love very much and that I feel is part of my body. But I am saying goodbye to something bigger.

It has been 3 years that have grown me a lot as an artist and as a person. For 3 years, in this small family of ours, we have denounced not only corruption and abuse, but we have also exposed the fragility of Albanian society, full of social, moral and emotional wounds.

For me, humor has not only been entertainment, but a medicine that soothes people's despair and pain. I have also used humor as a tool to open our eyes to the evil that surrounds us and to hold power accountable.

These years I have touched all of Albania and met thousands of people, with big and small problems. I have heard from them that change is needed, that something has to change. But I have realized that they are lost, and most do not know, do not understand how change is made.
