Berisha attacks Meta again for the President's decree: Head in Istanbul,
Sali Berisha

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, from the rostrum of the Assembly, has accused the government, which, according to him, does not send to the Parliament the extradition agreement with the Benelux countries.

Berisha said that the government has hidden the agreement because 6 ministers and many deputies risk being extradited to Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

"First, I denounce the government which does not bring to the Parliament the extradition agreement with the Benelux countries. "This is not due to the fact that at least 6 ministers and many socialist deputies are candidates for extraditions", said Berisha.

While, in his speech outside the Assembly, when asked about the names of the ministers, Berisha did not give any concrete facts, stating that "these names will come from partner countries".

He immediately attacked the incumbent president Ilir Meta for signing the decree of dismissal of the elected president, Bajram Begaj. The former prime minister said ironically that:

"The decree reminded me of Ali Pasha, the body in Ioannina, the head in Istanbul."
