The leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, during his speech at the protest, took the national flag in his hand and addressed the Prime Minister Edi Rama with these words.

"Edi Rama, we are here today to swear for this flag. To swear in front of the nation's flag that we will never forgive the vote. We never recognize stolen power. Forget it, don't play with the vote because we are determined never to accept, we are determined to make every sacrifice so that the men and women, boys and girls of Albania can vote with dignity and freedom. Edi Rama... these years you have shown yourself to be an enemy of free speech", said Berisha. 

Berisha also said that Rama has armored the doors of the Prime Minister's Office, but he informed them that the democrats do not act in disloyalty.

"Today you ran away, you made a mistake. Today you have armored the doors. You made a mistake. First I want to say here that we do not act in infidelity. When we say run, you will run. Second, don't forget, poor fellow, that with the strength of our ideals of freedom we crush every bunker, we pierce every blind, nothing stops us in our quest for freedom. Edi Rama, you are the big problem of the freedom of Albanians. You are the big problem of every citizen who says freedom is freedom, because you stay in power with a stolen vote, with a stolen vote," said Berisha.

"Albania is one of the richest countries in Europe. These assets have turned into a curse for Albanians because, just like before, today they are used by oligarchs connected to the government. You become poorer and poorer because your wealth is robbed by the rulers. From this square, in the name of these citizens, I appeal to you: Boll vode, Ik! Albania is in danger because its future is in danger, a nation that gives birth and raises children for emigration" , said Berisha.

"This is the beginning of our freedom march. My friends. This week, we hope that the European Union decides to open negotiations, and I call on them from this platform to open negotiations with Albania. Don't punish the Albanians from Edi Rama, who wants everything, but he doesn't want negotiations with the EU because they will expose him naked as he is: the demon of power, the chief thief of Europe", said Berisha.
