During his speech at the opposition protest, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, told Prime Minister Edi Rama that from today they are enemies. The reason for this, Berisha emphasized, is that according to him, Rama wants power to get rich, while Berisha said that together with the citizens, they want freedom.
"Tonight, more than ever, the minds and hearts, the eyes of the Albanians are directed to you. You came from all four sides to this boulevard because the hour of freedom called you, the hour of Albania called you here. Albania in danger was the dedication that raised you you standing to save him.
You are here today because you no longer accept that Albanian citizens are citizens of violated freedoms. 32 years ago when we founded the first opposition party, the last dictator and the state party had all the powers in their hands. Today, their successor Edi Rama, who ran away from them even though he has all the power, has established complete monism, he ran away again, he will run away again. His times are numbered.
On your behalf, I will say these words to Rama: Rama, we are both enemies today. Why are we enemies? It is heavy and bitter to say this word, but my heart does not utter another word because you, Edi Rama, have as your ideal power and only power, while I and these men and women have freedom and only freedom as an ideal. We are enemies, Edi Rama, because you want power to enrich yourself, to impoverish the citizens, to humiliate the citizens. But I and these citizens want freedom to make Albanians free, to return your freedom ", said Berisha, among other things.
