Belind Kelliçi

Democratic MP Belind Kelliçi was among the few MPs who spoke at today's protest against the Government called by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

From the pulpit located in front of the Prime Minister's building, he mentioned many of the names of the governors, considering them as thieves.

"Our Albania is in danger today. The real Albania, the one of the real majority, of the ordinary citizens, is suffocating, dying, and shrinking every day from what was announced since the renaissance, as the Albania we love. The Albania that we love, and these adjacent ones, actually killed the Albania of the Albanians. The Albania that these people love, the Albania of Edi Rama, Veliaj, Belinda, Elissa, Ben Ahmetaj, Taulant Balla, Frida, Çuçi, Ulsiu, and Agaçi, can be really beautiful. Idyllic. It smells like expensive French perfume, wears expensive clothes from Italian brands, has the taste of the most exclusive restaurants from Dubai to those here in Tirana, has the comfort of luxury villas on the coast, has the comfort of cars worth hundreds of thousands of euros, has the adrenaline rush of first class travel, has the security of bulk money, of apartments filled with cash. This Albania of these people and the people who surround them, there is no cursing. But this country, this domain, this venom of the most corrupt dignitaries of the globe according to any serious international report, was not created thanks to their genius or talent. This world of theirs, came to life, grew, and is fattening every day, on the Albania of the majority of Albanians, on our Albania, taking from it every day, the wealth, the budget, the assets and the opportunities it offers."- was a part of Belind Kelliç's speech.

So he mentioned all the 'thieves' of the Socialist Party, except his father-in-law, Artan Shkreli. Maybe he forgot?

Mr. Shkreli was an important person during the governments of Edi Rama as the former Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and today as the General Director of the Construction Institute.

We are not at all accusing Mr. Shkreli as a thief, but if Kelliçi is serious about the fight against corruption, he should mention everyone, including his father-in-law, and not make selections
