The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj,  has held a face-to-face meeting in Berlin with the President of the FRG, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Begaj said that he and Steineir had discussions about strengthening bilateral cooperation and the integration of Albania in the EU

The head of state thanked President Steinmeier for his contribution to strengthening relations and partnership between the two countries.

"The meeting, an indicator of the excellent political cooperation and the continuous attention of Germany towards Albania. I received guarantees for Germany's support for the integration of Albania in the EU.  "Germany provides support for the advancement of reforms in Albania and the development of the country and its oil in the Western Balkans is irreplaceable in the face of challenges that compromise the Euro-Atlantic future" , said Begaj.

Among other things, the president said that " close regional cooperation is needed. The European future guides the prosperity of the region".
