US Ambassador Yuri Kim reacted after Sali Berisha's statements that she is interfering in the justice system, putting pressure on judges and prosecutors. The US diplomat writes that the fight against corruption and efforts to undermine democracy constitute an essential interest of US national security.

Ambassador's post:

" If interfering in the judicial process means encouraging judges and prosecutors to do their job despite threats or incitement, making it clear ???????? will continue to support the implementation of justice reform in, underlining that no one is above the law and demanding that… we all do our part to fight corruption and impunity, then YES, the US has done and will continue to do just that - because the fight against corruption and the efforts to " Democracy is an essential US national security interest ," she wrote.
