Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during his visit to Turkey, has placed flowers near the grave of prominent scholar Sami Frashëri in Istanbul.

Alongside an album photo on social networks, Kurti says sami Frashëri was a prominent ideologue and a bright scholar.

"The renaissant, the progressive thinker. It cannot be described enough in words and have enough epithets to make his figure as intelligible as possible," Kurti writes.

Sami Ii is a national treasure and personality who has contributed immensely to Albanian political, social and philosophical thought.

His work is closely linked to the ideals of the national movement for liberation, to the needs of the national school and culture, and to european enlightenment ideas. He left an irreplaceable legacy, which remains contemporary still today. It is enough to read his monumental work "Albania what has been, what is and everything to be done", to understand the socio-political farsightedness and sharp thinking with the expressions of the past.
A stone that embeds truth and justice in our minds. Yesterday, on Sami's birthday, we visited his tomb in Istanbul and laid out fresh flowers, to remember and honor him. Before that, in Ankara we stayed at the Albanian Cultural Center there, which besides bearing his name, honors every day his heritage by being a country that brings together Albanians and where Albanian is spoken and taught, just as Sami taught us the language through the nation, and the nation through the language.

He left traces, indelible traces, still touched and experienced today. A great man who never forgot his place. An example of the nation, an example of the world and the inspiration for everyone.
