Britney Spears has been admitted to a rehabilitation center after being arrested for drunk driving in California.

Her representatives confirmed that the 44-year-old has voluntarily entered treatment, while it was previously reported that she had begun working on herself after the incident. Based on foreign media reports, the pop star has not drunk since the accident and has attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

Spears was arrested on March 5 after being stopped by police overnight near her home. According to reports, her car was driving erratically, swerving from one lane to another and speeding. She was released a few hours later. The singer is expected to appear in court on May 4.
