A touching story by actor Ermal Mamaqi about the passing of his friend, the renowned artist Dr. Flori.
Mamaqi talked about "They Don't Want the Ball," the singer's struggle to give up drugs, but which at a difficult moment in his life he returned to.
"He actually quit drugs, he got clean and rehabilitated 100%. I pulled him away from the nightlife, drugs, alcohol, and he became very family-oriented. Flori had a moment of weakness from some things that happened in his life and unfortunately he didn't make it and came back again," the actor said.
Dr. Flori's departure left behind a very strong message, says Mamaqi.
"We also made a song 'don't drink, do the gym', and we even had a project with Florin to go to schools and tell how he quit drugs, but that project didn't happen, but what happened is that he left and gave an even bigger message, that this path leads to death. November 17th was when Florin passed away and it was a very difficult moment for me. I wanted to give my contribution as a brother, as a friend, for him to come back... but this is how it had to happen. We don't understand God's ways, but he left a message even with his death," he said.
