Rapper Buta arrested

Rapper Betim Januzi, known as Buta, was arrested yesterday by Kosovo police in Ferizaj.

He is suspected of having attacked a person with a gun. The incident occurred on "Vëllezërit Gërvalla" street.

"We would like to inform you that on 11.04.2026, at around 20:25, we received information about a fight in progress on "Vëllezërit Gërvalla" street in Ferizaj, near "Eurogjigant". Police units reacted immediately and at the scene it was found that, in addition to the physical fight between two people, there were also gunshots," the Police statement said.

"One person suffered bodily injuries as a result of the fight, not from a firearm. A firearm and three cartridges were found and seized at the scene. One person was escorted to the police station, while the other suspect has been identified and is being sought by the police. Regarding the case, relevant police units, including the station's Investigations and Forensics, have gone to the scene, while several units have been deployed to search for the suspect. For additional information, you will be notified in a subsequent report," the Police announced.

Recall that "Buta" was arrested in September of last year after a police check. He was charged by the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj with drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.

According to the Prosecution, there is a well-founded suspicion that on September 11, 2025, at around 9:00 PM, on "Zenel Hajdini" street in Ferizaj, Betim Januzi "Buta" was in possession of suspected narcotic substances such as cocaine and marijuana without authorization, with the intent to sell or distribute.
