July's dazzling supermoon lit up skies around the world last night in a breathtakingly spectacular display.

Also known as the Buck Moon, the impressive lunar phenomenon made Earth's satellite appear bigger and brighter than any other full moon this year.

It has been christened the Supermoon as it appears larger than the Moon on a normal day and marks the point in its orbit where it is closest to Earth.

People hoping to catch a glimpse of the heavenly spectacle were not disappointed.

Stargazers were left mesmerized by her beauty, and she also left behind a gallery of spectacular photos taken by them in London and other parts of Britain.

And it was the same all over the world with the surprising supermoon visible near the Harz mountains in Germany, but also in Greece, Iraq and Egypt.
