The era of 0.99, 4.99 or 9.99 euro flights may have ended a few years ago. But two of Ryanair's three flights from Bergamo to Dublin currently cost €14.99 on April 30, the same figure is charged for Palermo-Milan Malpensa on April 16, not to mention the Bergamo-Tirana route, which on April 20 costs €10.99 with Wizz Air , or Malpensa-London Gatwick from May 2 with EasyJet is on sale for 18.49 euros. All taxes are included, while additional services such as hand luggage or seat selection are excluded.

In the seven months from April to October this year, the main low-cost airlines put on sale over 20 million seats for less than €30 each on connections within Italy and those with Europe, equal to 40% of all seat offer of these airlines.

Along with days that are more expensive than the historical average, there are times when prices fall. Partly because companies struggle to fill planes at those specific times and partly because on some routes the spending capacity of customers is limited.

In the period from April 1 to October 31, 2024, low-cost carriers put up for sale just over 50 million seats on flights within Italy and between Italy and Europe. Of these, 20.6 million cost a maximum of 29.99 euros. More than half of the low-cost seats are offered by Ryanair.

The most advantageous fares remain those away from the classic peak moments – for those traveling on holiday, for family reasons or for work – such as Fridays, Sundays and Mondays.
