According to the Global Work Index data published by "NordLayer", this publication that coincides with the first half of 2023, Albania ranks 51st as one of the main remote work destinations among 108 countries taken in study.

The scoring is based on cyber security, economy, infrastructure and social security, elements that guarantee the quality of remote work. Cyber security is related to digital security, i.e. the integrity of the infrastructure, the capacity to respond to digital threats, etc. The concept of economy refers to the cost of living, ease of communication and opportunities for quality leisure time.
