American singer and actress Ariana Grande has decided to temporarily withdraw from public life after the end of her "Eternal Sunshine" tour, which ends next month.

According to a representative for the artist for People magazine, Grande will "take a step back from public exposure," after facing "constant scrutiny and criticism" from the public and the media in recent years.

As a result of this decision, the 33-year-old will no longer perform in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's famous musical, "Sunday in the Park with George", which was scheduled to be staged at London's Barbican Theatre in 2027.

Empire Street Productions, which organizes the show, confirmed Grande's departure from the project, stressing that it fully respects her decision.

"We know this has not been an easy decision and we fully support him. We wish him nothing but the best," the company said in a statement.

In recent months, Ariana Grande has often been at the center of discussions about her physical appearance and health, especially after the release of her latest album "Petal".

In the promotional song's music video, the artist plays the role of a singer who constantly faces criticism in auditions, where she is told that she is "not good enough," that she "needs cosmetic surgery," and then that she "has had too much surgery." At the end of the video, her character symbolically confronts the critics.

Her representative stressed that Grande wants to finish the tour "healthy and happy" before taking a well-deserved break from public activities.

Meanwhile, fans have reacted with great support on social media, where the hashtag #WeLoveYouAriana has become a trend.

The artist's tour continues with concerts in Chicago and then in London, where she will perform ten shows at the O2 arena, before officially ending the tour on September 1. Her replacement in the London musical has not yet been announced.
