The man who predicted the AI ​​revolution now says we are entering the most transformative decade in history: Humanity will change forever

Ray Kurzweil is one of the few people who predicted the artificial intelligence revolution decades ago and actually got the timing right. 

In 1999, he published the book "The Age of the Spiritual Machines," in which he said that by the early 2020s, artificial intelligence systems would be performing many of the jobs humans used to do. He also predicted that around 2029, computers would achieve human-level intelligence. This is now starting to happen.

Kurzweil says he has made 147 predictions since the 1990s and claims an accuracy rate of about 86%.

He believes that we are now entering the most transformative decade in history.

He points to three key moments coming soon:

- By 2032, he expects science to extend human life.

- In the 2030s, he predicts that cell-sized robots will flow through our bodies and connect our brains directly to the "cloud."

- And by 2045, he believes this will lead to the Singularity, a point where human intelligence merges with AI and expands a million times.

He says this merger will combine our creativity with the processing power of machines, creating a level of intelligence far higher than what exists today. According to him, it will be like having a smartphone in your brain, only much more advanced.

Kurzweil believes this transition has already begun and in the next 20 years, it will redefine what it means to be human.
