An overweight cat has ended up with only minor injuries after falling 27 meters from a balcony in Bangkok.

The cat got away with just a few scratches even though it crashed into the back of a parked car.

The cat, named Shi Fu, was walking on her owner's balcony when she slipped and fell from the sixth floor of a building in the Thai city on May 27.

The owner of the cat, with tears in her eyes, said that she forgot to close the door that leads to the balcony in her apartment.

The cat was taken to the vet and found to have only minor injuries. As a result of the collision with the glass, she ended up with several broken claws and a swollen nose, but no life-threatening injuries. This story has caused the myth that cats have nine lives to come out again.
