The past of the Kosovo war still has a lot to show the world about the crimes and the consequences it left behind, and what better way than from the cinema screen, through a film production that will bear the name "Liberation War" .
A film that will be completely worked by Hollywood and with a cast that, although the names have not been made public, are known in the world cinematographic industry.
The past of the war, which did not spare family members, prompted producer Fitim Krasniqi to engage in this gigantic production. The story will take place in three periods, before the war, during and after it, where the focus will be on the massacre of Recak.
At a time when Kosovo's public figures face in The Hague, with a series of accusations for this period of history, for Fitim it is important to seek justice through art.
The well-known actor and director Louis Mandylor, who has screened the famous movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", will be in the role of the director, while stopping his response to the engagement in this production.
"It is not easy to make a film where what is valuable is the story, and where the expectations are very high. I know that the subject is personal for the whole nation, and I feel what the Albanians of Kosovo have gone through. In the war, you will fight for your family, what for me is definitely unfair, is the genocide of women and children and for me they have no place. It's a horror story and we will show that, the truth, but also humanity."
He calls the realism of this film, which will be shot in Kosovo, a fantastic opportunity for all young people, but also those who want to see up close how a giant production is made.
"I have been to Kosovo and I have seen the development of that country which impressed me. It's great that the younger generation who haven't been behind the scenes of making a movie finally are because we're going to be engaging almost a large portion of people in two countries. It's a big production and this will be a beautiful artistic opportunity for anyone who will discover the realism of a film."
The film aims to promote Kosovo and Albania as well, and although filming has not started, "Liberation War" will be shown in 65 countries around the world.
