Google finds the dates to book the cheapest plane tickets

CNBC reveals that Google Flights has recently been updated with more information that can help you save money by booking a trip during certain time periods.

As he notes addressing the US market, even if you're planning, say, a family vacation to Florida next winter and want to book your plane tickets. Google lets you know if prices are lower or higher than average at the moment and when it's the right time to buy your tickets to get the best deal.

In fact, according to CNBC, if you're planning a trip to Miami from Dec. 5 to Dec. 19, Google's travel service reports that prices are lower than usual, at about $58 for a round trip on Frontier Airlines. This shows that it is worth booking now.

In another example, for a flight search for a trip to Cancun from March 6 to March 13, Google said the price, about $282, was typical, but that the cost was likely to be lower between November 11 and 9 February.

"The lowest prices for similar trips to Cancun are usually found about 1-4 months before departure," says Google's flights page. "Prices during this period average about $40 cheaper."

Note that Google Flights is an online flight reservation search service that facilitates the purchase of airline tickets through third-party suppliers. It was launched by Google in 2011 and is now part of Google Travel.
