Albanian businessman Elton Ilirjani has managed to find and meet singer Parashqevi Simaku in New York.

Ilirjani, who has been living and working in the US for several years, has shared a special photo where he is seen hugging the iconic Albanian singer in a bar in the American metropolis.

She shines with a smile, as Elton writes that this is just the first coffee, on the way to returning Parashqevi Simaku to where he deserves to be.

"Parashqevi Simaku is fine! We just met and are having our first coffee! She will be very well now and will sing again for the Albanian public," he writes.

The sad images published on television, where the singer appeared in poor financial condition, touched hundreds of thousands of Albanians, prompting calls to help her.
