Beans, olives, onions and homemade bread, the DP MP publishes special photos
Sajmir Korreshi

We are used to always looking at officials and concentrating on their profile as high officials. Albanian politicians know how to combine the formal look with the everyday one, but this break is often easy. Therefore, our surprise when we saw these photos was not small. In the photo is the deputy of the Democratic Party, Sajmir Korreshi, in a pose not at all usual for a politician.

Korreshi has published several shots where he is seen making bread himself. Like a good host, he is seen preparing the dough himself and shows the final result in another shot. And like any ordinary Albanian, the politician has chosen to accompany this cake with a dish of beans, cheese, olives and onions. This is a typical dish of ours, but with the kulache made from it, it should taste even better.

Sajmiri has often shown that he is a politician quite different from others. Even in his public statements, there were frequent occasions when he caused a stir with what he said. In his first speech in the Parliament, MP Korreshi said, among other things, that "When you enter the Lushnja Hospital, a rat comes out of your feet and you don't know what to wear. Where do you live, in what world? The mouse broke his head...". In this regard, the deputy stated that his speech was spontaneous and prepared on the night of the plenary session, while adding that he will not be a template deputy, with prepared speeches, but speak in the pulpit of Parliament, just as he talks to the citizens on a daily basis.

"I grew up being a part of politics, I went through all the stages. I have had a desire for politics. I am convinced that Lushnja has not been well represented for what belongs to her. The difficulties and problems that the city of Lushnja has should be addressed", said the MP at the beginning of the interview. Asked if he had thought that in his first appearances in the Assembly there would be so much attention, the deputy answered that "I could have dreamed it, but I didn't think about it. I decided to be who I really am in everyday life. It was a spontaneous speech, prepared that very night, waiting for Rama.

Lushnja has many problems, which I brought to that meeting. Today there is an impact that people hear and see. I wanted to do what I said with a joke, so that perhaps by absorbing the joke, what I really wanted to say would come out". Further, the deputy commented on another statement of his, which caused a lot of laughter in the Assembly, when he said that "You shave the money, you are afraid and run."

Regarding this statement, Korreshi stated that: "If you look at how I speak, I don't break my silence at all about who laughs and who doesn't, I don't lose my temper, I don't get excited, I don't get any kind of emotion. My aim was to carry the speech to the end. The first moments, on the first day, I made a reflection, as I was returning, tired, that it was a long session. I was sorry that all the ministers left, the deputies of the position left.

There, some young ministers were embarrassed, because they had prepared the speech and did not know what was written there. At the final moment, when I left, the prime minister came and I told my colleagues 'now I will light it up'. I felt good that they were all there and that my message would be delivered to 140 people. People have sensitivity, because they want someone to tell them their problems. A remedy can be found, if only you said so in Parliament. Even more so, that some problems in Lushnja, which I have told in the Parliament, have started to find solutions. I also talk to citizens in my daily life.
