Will compete for Eurovision? Elvana Gjata breaks the silence and tells the truth
Elvana Gjata and Durata Dora

Elvana Gjata has broken the silence after the news appeared in the media that she wants to represent Albania next year in Eurovision by competing in the Song Festival.

The Albanian artist says that there is nothing true about this news. "I'm not competing for Eurovision this year," the singer wrote on Instastory.

It was the page "Eurovision Kosovo" that wrote through a post that it had learned from unofficial sources that she and Dhurata Dora were aiming for Eurovision. Doubts increased after the manager of Dhurata, Ilir Balija, "liked" this post, an action that was taken as a confirmation of their duet. We remember that Elvana participated in the 58th edition of the Song Festival, a year that was accompanied by controversy after she was ranked second after Arilena Ara.

She was one of the biggest contenders for the victory. Her name as the winner of the festival was announced due to the fact that the song she competed with "Me tana" was very well received, so the fact that she was ranked second was a surprise for everyone.
