The well-known comedian, Gentian Zenelaj, has told about his childhood, which he spent in his hometown in Lezhë. For the first time, he discovered that when he lived in Lezhë, he was also a shepherd with his uncles' goats.

As he talks about his memories in his hometown, he says that he has had many adventures in this city, while he says that when he goes to Lezha now, he remembers his childhood.

"Finding a memory for me is very precious. It happens to me very often in Lezha when I sit by the Drin, drink a coffee or at the Ilir settlement or at the burial site of Skenderbeu, as I sit thoughtfully among the 100 thoughts in my head, a thread comes out like in the Harry Potter movie, a thread comes out of the head and they are a series of memories that come from your childhood.

I have seen unprecedented adventures in Lezha, I have also been a shepherd in Lezha. My uncles had a herd of goats, that's when they started keeping cattle, democracy was created, and I know Lezha Castle palm by palm because there are also the cyclopean stones, those are the big stones, the Illyrian stones, and for us it was an extraordinary scenography. Every time I go to Lezha, I try to find the forts with my eyes, now there are many constructions and how good it would be for the municipality of Lezha to discover those stones because they are extraordinary to see" , said the actor in the show "Rudina".

He has shown the difficult period he experienced in Lezha in '97. Zenelaj says that he only came to Tirana because of the riots because his plans were to stay in Lezhë and study at the Police Academy.

"My departure took place in '97, it was my high school graduation and our matriculation exam was with autoblinds. I remember like now that we did the exam cross-legged on the ground because the classroom was burned down and there were armored vehicles under the school door because this gymnasium had to pass and many of my friends chose Italy, France, I came to the Academy of Arts .

I left Lezha with great regret because, as I said, the birthplace is the grave of the ancestors that connects you with your loved ones. I left Lezha with great regret because it was really a wonderful city to live in. It was interesting, intellectual because there were many naval bases, aviation bases, there were intellectuals, there were many poets, artists and I left it with great regret. But it was a very difficult year when I left. I still love Tirana very much because it opened its arms to me and I am grateful because it created the habitat for me to live, I have my family, my children, I have my wife. My son says that I am from Lezha", the actor confessed.
