Dani Alves has been sentenced to 4 years and six months in prison after being found guilty of 'sexual assault' with 'involuntary body touching'.
After more than 10 days of waiting, this Thursday, February 22, the final decision of section 21 of the Court of Barcelona was announced, which estimates that the footballer committed this crime on the night of December 30, 2022 in the night club 'Sutton'.
The court has assessed that the crime of sexual assault is proven. For this reason, Dani Alves must serve 4 years and six months in prison, 5 years after release with supervision, 9 years without communication with the victim and pay 150 thousand euros in compensation plus court costs.
The 4 years and six months that the sentence dictates are less than those requested by the private prosecution (12 years, the maximum sentence) and also less than those proposed by the Prosecution (9 years).
