"Freedom of movement is complete and jarinje and Brnjak border points are open to citizens," Home Affairs Minister Gelal Svecla has said.
In a post on the social network Facebook, he wrote that barricades set up by illegal Serbian structures last night, 15 minutes after the alarm system was issued and distributed in 9 different locations in the north of the country, have already completely departed from them themselves.
He has said that with the departure of barricades and the security of freedom of movement, the Kosovo Government shifts the implementation of decisions for 1 September 2022.
According to him, armed groups were aimed at killing police officials.
"Masked and long-gun groups led by Belgrade and from Serbia have begun attacks on the country's citizens by brutally beating them and the same ones have also fired at police officials today for the purpose of killing them," Svecla wrote.
According to him, these attacks were prepared for a long time "and these preparations culminated in meetings in Belgrade and In Rashka".
Creating panic, causing general danger, moving armed and masked persons inside the country, brutally beating our citizens as well as attempted murder of our police officials, according to the Interior Minister, are unacceptable actions, "in this direction, investigations are working intensively and justice will undoubtedly happen".
"The use of such criminal groups to destabilise the country from the Serbian side does not only endanger our country, and this becomes even more serious when Serbia, which through such groups aims to achieve its goals, receives full and already public support from Moscow," he has said.
Svechla has said that "in addition to attacks on citizens, material damage and attempted murders against police officials, we were confronted last night with cyber attacks that tried to hinder state functioning".
He also cited the follow-up of unconfirmed and untruthful news, which according to the minister "have severely censored the development of police operations, the life and security of police officials and in particular, information on the wounding of the police official has caused reasonable confusion and concern to all family members of police officials who were in charge at the time".
Due to the Kosovo Government's decision on Serbian license plates and documents, local Serbs in Kosovo on 31 July placed barricades on the roads leading to Jarinje and Brnjak.
