The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in an interview for Radio Television of Kosovo, has said that the United States of America (USA) should take the leading role of the dialogue process for the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations that is currently mediated by the European Union.

"I have said from the beginning that I do not see success without the direct involvement and leadership role of the USA in this process. This is also proven by history - in every process in the Western Balkans, especially regarding the successes of Kosovo - if the USA does not take the leading role, then it is a problem for us to succeed in the future".

Osmani warns of measures against the Serbian List

Osmani has said that the Kosovar authorities are working towards taking sanctioning measures against the Serbian List - the largest party of the Serbs - in accordance with the laws provided by the Constitution of Kosovo.

"We as institutions are doing all the necessary legal analyses, we will also have a joint meeting with the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Assembly and the Deputy Prime Minister to discuss these issues in the following hours and of course everything that is provided by law will these are the measures that will be taken", emphasized President Osmani.

Instead of fighting for the rights of the Serbian community in Kosovo, President Osmani added, this political entity has turned into a tool in the hands of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who, according to the Kosovo head of state, is carrying out the plans of Russian President Vladimir Putin to destabilize the region.
