The video shows 42-year-old Bilikesu Olagundzu violently dragging 88-year-old John Attard, threatening him and treating him with contempt during her visit to his home in Kent on Christmas Eve 2022.
The chilling images were captured by a camera installed in the home by the victim's son, Chris.
The next day, his father was found unconscious, with blood streaming down his face.
The elderly man was rushed to the hospital, where he remained and died ten days after the incident.
At her recent trial in London, Olagundzu pleaded guilty to one count of wilful abuse or neglect of a vulnerable person while working as a carer.
She was sentenced to six weeks of probation and ordered to carry out 50 hours of community service, a sentence the victim's family called outrageous.
Speaking after the trial, Chris Attard explained that while the post-mortem examination did not prove a direct link, he was convinced that Olagundzu's actions had directly contributed to his father's deteriorating health and death.
“If it weren’t for the cameras, this person could have continued to treat the elderly in this way,” he said. “I expected a different sentence, but the length and number of hours of community service is an insult. What kind of message does this send?” he asked.
The video of the chilling scenes shown in court begins when Olagunju arrives at the victim's home at 11:20am to bathe Mr Attard and prepare him breakfast.
After yelling at him to get up, he slides to the floor and the woman then begins to undress him in front of the window.
The caregiver is seen dragging him by the arm and collar, pulling him tightly.
At one point, she is heard calling her employer and saying that Mr. Attard has fallen to the floor.
She was instructed not to touch him and to call an ambulance, but she ignored it and continued to pull him up herself, complaining that "they should have sent a man to do the job."
Chris Attard said he was shocked to see how distraught his father was, describing his face as "contorted" with pain.
“She tries to lift him as if he were not a human being, but a rag doll. His face shows the distress and pain he feels… She lifts him off the floor, pulls him towards his couch.”
The caretaker is heard threatening the man several times, saying she would whip him, take him to hospital for an injection or call the police to arrest him. Mr Attard repeatedly tells her: “You’re hurting me.”
In the footage, she is also seen preparing his breakfast while continuing to threaten him, pouring jam into his coffee (even though he was diabetic), moving his coffee table away, making it difficult for him to eat, and throwing hot coffee at him.
Her last words to him, as she left the house, were again a threat: "Hey, I'm going to report you to the police," she told him before closing the door behind her/ DailyMail
