The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, said in Titter that 10 million people have fled their homes to Ukraine as a result of russia's invasion, more than a quarter of the country's total population.

The war in Ukraine began on February 24th and since then millions of people have fled to neighbouring countries. Poland has welcomed more than two million refugees and more than half a million Ukrainians have fled to Romania.

The United Nations Human Rights Office has said at least 902 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since Saturday, March 19, following the Russian invasion of the country.

The UN adds that the true number of deaths is probably much higher. The Ukrainian Attorney General's Office said 112 children had been killed.

Images of protests held in Kherson, Kakhovka and Berdyansk, all cities now controlled by Russian troops, have appeared on social media.

The rallies appear peaceful and have not been violently distributed by Russian invading forces.

A video, shared by the Ukrayinska Pravda news newspaper, shows crowds waving Ukrainian flags in Kherson, cheering "Kherson is Ukraine!".
