US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could strike Iran's nuclear facilities again if the situation warrants it. The strong statement came after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi admitted to Fox News that three nuclear facilities were severely damaged by US air strikes in June.

"They have certainly been damaged, as I have said before. And we will do it again, if necessary!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social network, reacting to Araghchi's comments.

The US attacks on June 22 hit three nuclear enrichment centers in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, during the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.

Trump claimed that these strikes “totally destroyed” Iran’s nuclear capabilities, but a later US intelligence report suggested that the damage was temporary, setting back the program by only a few months. The White House denied the assessment, calling it “totally inaccurate.”

At the same time, Iran has announced the resumption of talks with European countries on its nuclear program. The meeting will take place on Friday in Istanbul, with the participation of representatives from the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the European Union's foreign policy chief.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei confirmed that the focus of the talks will be the lifting of sanctions and issues related to Iran's civilian nuclear program.

Iran's nuclear program was significantly curtailed by the 2015 deal (JCPOA), but was shaken by the US withdrawal in 2018. Tehran has gradually increased its nuclear activities, including enriching uranium to levels close to weapons-grade. Iran insists its program is for civilian purposes only, while Western countries express concern about the risk of an escalation of tensions.
