From the " Turning Point USA " rally that was held in Detroit, Trump has openly criticized the American aid packages for Kiev saying that he " would have fixed it " (American aid to Ukraine) before taking the White House. .

"Good businessman," Trump further described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky , referring to his efforts to secure US financial support for the war at all costs.

"I think Zelensky is probably the biggest businessman in a politician's suit that we have ever seen. Every time he comes to our country, he leaves with 60 billion dollars. He just left four days ago with $60 billion, and he comes home and announces that he needs another $60 billion. It never stops," Trump said.

Trump's statement contained inaccuracies about US aid to Ukraine, after a foreign aid bill containing roughly $61 billion for Ukraine was signed by US President Joe Biden in late April.

Trump's attack on Zelensky comes in the wake of his previous statements, where he has indicated that he will stop military aid to Ukraine if he wins the presidential election and also said that Russia would not have launched its invasion of Ukraine in 2022 if he would be the president of the USA.
