"Trump threatened to bomb Moscow," 2024 audio recording emerges: Putin

CNN says it has an audio recording in which Donald Trump is heard claiming during a private meeting with donors in 2024 that he once tried to dissuade Russian President Vladimir Putin from attacking Ukraine, threatening that the US would " bomb Moscow ."

"With Putin, I said, 'If you go into Ukraine, I will bomb Moscow to the core. I'm telling you, I have no other choice,'" the Republican is heard saying during the fundraising event.

"Putin replied that he didn't trust me, but he trusted me 10%," Trump's comment continues.

He further claims that he had conveyed a similar warning to the Chinese head of state regarding a possible invasion of Taiwan, telling him that in return, the United States would bomb Beijing.

"He thought I was crazy," Trump said, referring to Xi Jinping, before adding that in fact, "we never had any problems."

This recording has never been broadcast before.

Trump campaign aides declined to comment on the content of the tapes.

Meanwhile, a day earlier, Trump again expressed disappointment with Putin's resistance to a peace agreement, saying he is very unhappy with it.
