A serious event was recorded in Italy, where a well-known Italian artist was injured, as he was attacked by an unidentified person during the exhibition.
The artist Andrea Saltini was inside the church of Sant'Ignazio, in Capri of Modena, where he had opened an exhibition with his controversial works, which some had described as "blasphemy".
At one point, a masked person approached and tried to spray paint on the paintings but was confronted by the artist. The perpetrator shot him with a knife in the neck, causing wounds but not life-threatening.
Multiple police forces arrived at the scene, where they also found a pair of wigs, which are suspected to have been used by the perpetrator.
Saltini's paintings had caused great controversy in Italy, being criticized even by high Catholic clergy.
