The President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, today handed over the mandate to Talat Xhafer for the composition of the transitional government, which will operate until the election of the new government that will be formed after the parliamentary elections.

In accepting the mandate, Xhaferi said that the new Government will be formed based on the laws and the Constitution of the country.

He also emphasized that even from the position of the prime minister, he will continue to work with dedication, responsibility and transparency.

On Saturday, the technical representative will deliver to the Assembly the program and composition of the new Government.

The composition of the technical Government has already been announced after the political parties announced proposals for additional ministers and deputy ministers.

The technical government must be chosen and voted on by midnight on Sunday. It is still uncertain whether OBRM-PDUKM will support the government.
