The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has said that the KFOR troops support the efforts of the diplomats of the European Union to achieve progress in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, with the mediation of the European Union.
He stated that at the meeting in Brussels there were new announcements from several countries about the increase in support for the KFOR mission, while he added that " the increase in tensions in Kosovo is visible, not only in relation to the issue of license plates" .
" The Western Balkans is a region in Europe where the EU and NATO cooperate very closely. We helped to end two brutal wars, first in Bosnia and Herzegovina, then in Kosovo ", he said after the meeting of the defense ministers of the Alliance member countries in Brussels.
" We have our presence, the KFOR mission in Kosovo. The allies are committed to continue contributing to the forces ," Stoltenberg said, writes Aljazeera.
Speaking about Bosnia and Herzegovina, he said that it is one of the countries that are on the path to NATO membership, which the Alliance supports, but he emphasized that this decision will ultimately be Bosnia and Herzegovina's decision.
