Ukraine shot down two Russian fighter jets that were sent to intercept Ukrainian navy drones in the Black Sea.

As reported, it is a hitherto unknown type of armed naval drone that uses American Sidewinder missiles.

Earlier it was announced that Ukraine shot down a Russian Su-30 Flanker. It has already been confirmed that another plane of the same type crashed on the same day.
And these are the first fighter jets in history to be destroyed by a naval drone.

According to statements by the head of Ukraine's military intelligence service, Colonel General Kirill Budanov, as well as President Volodymyr Zelensky, the attack was carried out by Ukrainian forces using a new version of the Magura drone.

Although some sources previously claimed that it was a Magura V5 drone, it is known that it was actually a much larger Magura V7 model.
It is the first time that this variant has been presented to the public. The Magura V7 is approximately 8 meters tall.

Although it has not yet been confirmed whether it can carry other types of weapons in addition to Sidewinder missiles, it appears to be modular and adapted for different missions.
