Over 2 million participants, Brazilian police say they avoided bomb attack at

Brazilian authorities have prevented a bomb attack planned for Lady Gaga's concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro.

The Rio de Janeiro State Police, in coordination with the Ministry of Justice, said the suspects had recruited participants to carry out attacks using improvised explosives and the plan was intended to gain notoriety on social media.

The person responsible for the plan was arrested and a teenager was arrested yesterday, police posted in a statement on X.

Officials said a crowd of more than two million people gathered for the concert, which was free to attend.
