Ceasefire violation? North Korea builds border 'wall' with South

North Korea appears to be building a wall in several places near its border with South Korea.

This has been revealed by new satellite images published by the BBC, which show that the space inside the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) has been cleared, which experts say could be a violation of the long-standing ceasefire with South Korea.

The DMZ is a 4 km wide neutral zone between North and South Korea. It is split in two, with each side controlled by respective nations.

This latest activity by North Korea is an "unusual" move, according to experts, and comes at a time of rising tensions between the two countries.
