Albanian films banned in Serbia


A Serbian court has decided to ban the broadcast of the Albanian film "The Wicked", arguing that it incites hatred, violence and discrimination.

While for the next film "Silence Kills", the Serbian court decided to condition the broadcast for the over-16s and to request the removal of the logo "Republic of Kosovo" that is financing the project for Serbian Albanians.

But the film's producer, Gani Veseli, says he has refused to do so, saying that he is grateful to the Republic of Kosovo for funding in the field of art.

Vessel's reaction:

A few moments the Supreme Court in Vranje brought the last decision that the film "IBESI" is forbidden from being shown, while the other film "Silence Kills" is allowed on condition if the Republic of Kosovo's trego leaves the film.

As a producer, I refused to take it out because I have five films that are with the republic of Kosovo and the value of those investing in Art and Culture did not disappear for any reason, the sneer or interest of anyone in this case of Serbia, because it is a value of art and financing of these films.
