The mayor of Tetovo reacted to criticism from the president of North Macedonia and serbia for the grand reception of Prime Minister Albin Kurti in the city.
Bilal Kasami says the government is afraid of the loss it faces in the next election, especially when the opposition front joined Kurti.
The concern, according to him, is not about political rhetoric but that "the Albanian opposition in the RNM is joining and thus counting the days of this government of crime and corruption."
Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called as a manifestation of a Greater Albania the reception that was given to Kurti in Tetovo, highlighting among hundreds of red and black flags, an "Autochthonous" flag with the map of Greater Albania.
Kasam's reaction:
The government failed to hide or control the fear of defeat in the upcoming elections, especially when the united opposition front emerged and with support from Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
We understand the concern of the President and the Government, which surprisingly supported and reacted to Belgrade, and we know that such political rhetoric has nothing to do with albin Kurti's visit, but is concerned that the Albanian opposition in the Republic of Macedonia is joining and thus counting the days of this government of crime and corruption. The arrival of the Prime Minister
Kurti was respectful and honorable to the Albanians of North Macedonia, as well as respect for the state of North Macedonia, with which the memorandum of the joint project, the Tetovo-Prizren road, was signed.
