A British national has been jailed for racism after attacking a security guard last November at a John Leave shop.

Desmond Thompson, 49, argued with the security guard as he looked at the perfume inside the store. The guard said Thompson's actions appeared suspicious and approached to confront him.

The 49-year-old man insulted him by saying, "You better go back to Albania from where you came from. I'm gonna destroy the whole store. You came here and took our jobs."

But when the security guard replied that he is not Albanian but a Pole, he replied, "You're still not English, are you?"

Thompson said he had 182 previous offences, three of which were racist. She decided to sentence him to three months in prison.
