Putin orders bloody battle at steel plant

Vladimir Putin could not get the strategic victory since the first days of the war in Ukraine and now with the approach of May 9, Victory Day against Nazism, he needs a tactical victory there.

After the withdrawal from the north and northeast of Ukraine and with pronounced logistical problems as well as the Ukrainian army in front, the only front where Putin can get his victory is that of Mariupol.

Foreign media report that Putin has ordered the taking of the only remaining pocket in Mariupol at all costs, namely that of Azovstal, the steel plant of the former Soviet Union, fortified with tens of kilometers of underground tunnels and considered a suicidal ground for any army intended to enter there.

But Putin needs the victory and he needs it now!

For this he has ordered an offensive on this steel plant against the Azov battalion, which Putin and Russia call Nazi.

Russia has already launched a compulsory recruitment of all men between the ages of 18 and 55 in the so-called Luhansk and Donetsk Republics in eastern Ukraine. These are the ones who will go face to face with the Ukrainian army in Azovstal.

Poorly armed and without any military knowledge, it seems that Russia is sending them as "cannon fodder" in front of the "Azov" battalion that has been fighting in the east of the country for years.

The battle for the Azovstal plant is expected to be the bloodiest in the Ukraine war.
