Two journalists from "Television 21" and a journalist from the "Reuters" agency, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, were detained this evening by the Skopje police and escorted to the police station.
It is learned that they were escorted due to the takeoff of drones during the protest held in Skopje, following the tragedy in Kocani.
After being questioned about permission to fly the drones, they were later released.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that drone flights have been banned in the areas of Kocani and Shtip.
The announcement does not state that the ban also applies to Skopje.
"The Ministry of Interior informs citizens and all users of unmanned aircraft, namely drones, that the Civil Aviation Agency has decided to ban any drone operations in the territory of the cities of Kocani and Shtip. The unauthorized and uncoordinated operation of these aircraft not only endangers air traffic, but can also cause serious consequences on the ground and on the ground for the lives of third parties, initiating sanctioning procedures in accordance with the Aviation Law ," the announcement of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia states.
